While not exactly my favorite subject to read to my toddler about, it appeals to him, and he genuinely seems to take comfort in the fact that animals poop just like he does, which is helpful in potty training。 Whatever works!

This was an excellently timed book。 We were talking about starting potty training and poop suddenly becomes THIS HUGE BIG TOPIC。How do you talk about it? What is your family's poop philosophy? These are important questions I was suddenly laying awake at night thinking about。 Do you talk about poop in your family? Do you pretend it doesn't happen? Trying to convince a toddler that pooping is fine and good and natural and yes, mommy and daddy and grandma and grandpa all do it, is a conversation I' This was an excellently timed book。 We were talking about starting potty training and poop suddenly becomes THIS HUGE BIG TOPIC。How do you talk about it? Trying to convince a toddler that pooping is fine and good and natural and yes, mommy and daddy and grandma and grandpa all do it, is a conversation I've had A LOT over the last two weeks。Good news, this book is amazing in helping get that point across。 It includes fun animals and makes some fun light-hearted jokes。 It _gasps_ SHOWS THINGS! Yes, there is poop in here。 Everyone poops。 So we see that。 And THANK GOODNESS。 Anyway, FIVE STARS FOR HELPING POTTY TRAINING。 I would 100% recommend this book to anyone with a toddler-aged child who is approaching potty training time。 。。。more

Quick read, but I feel like I never got a clear answer if apples poop。 Or if plants poop since they are living things。 Not terrible but I wouldn't read it while eating Quick read, but I feel like I never got a clear answer if apples poop。 Or if plants poop since they are living things。 Not terrible but I wouldn't read it while eating 。。。more

Genre: Informational?Grade Level: K-2ndThis book contains humorous ways of describing how everyone poops。 Each illustration displays just how different each animals' poops are, along with how they poop。 This would be a book that would garner many giggles from younger grades。 I liked how in the end, the author ties up the lesson with why we poop: we all eat! Very funny read, I really enjoyed the humor as well as the information of how many different animals' pooping habits。 Genre: Informational?Grade Level: K-2ndThis book contains humorous ways of describing how everyone poops。 Each illustration displays just how different each animals' poops are, along with how they poop。 This would be a book that would garner many giggles from younger grades。 I liked how in the end, the author ties up the lesson with why we poop: we all eat! One of the things I like about children's books is that there are so simple to understand (obviously)。 I liked Taro's idea to break the taboo about pooping (it's about time)。 One of the things I like about children's books is that there are so simple to understand (obviously)。 I liked Taro's idea to break the taboo about pooping (it's about time)。 。。。more

A modern classic that I love so, so much -- so much so that I may keep it on my own shelf after my critters outgrow it。 The hefty dose of wonder here (let's imagine the size of a whale's poop, shall we?) and the many, many laughs in these pages make a frustrating and sometimes scary activity just a touch easier。 Must own。 A modern classic that I love so, so much -- so much so that I may keep it on my own shelf after my critters outgrow it。 The hefty dose of wonder here (let's imagine the size of a whale's poop, shall we?) and the many, many laughs in these pages make a frustrating and sometimes scary activity just a touch easier。 Must own。 。。。more

My nearly-20 month old is obsessed with this book。 Every morning and night she asks for it by name: “Arryone ‘Oop!” I’ve read it about one hundred times this week。 It’s a gift to parents everywhere。

gross but that’s reality!I love taro gomi both as an author and an illustrator。 His works touch everyday simple life which most of the time we ignore。 Like this book, growing up in the late 80s-early 90s poop is a taboo word because it’s gross, what I love about this book, is the way he described that accept the fact that everyone poops!

Maeve

A variety of animals (and people) are shown pooping in all different ways。A funny book to share with young ones who are interested in gross things or who are toilet training。

My 21-month-old loves this book and it has been a great way for us to continue discussing poops。 :D (But I do skip the joke about the camel poops。)
